It starts off as a gel and in just a few seconds (maybe 10-15 if you apply a thin layer) it turns into a thick foam. I’ve been using it as a mask mostly, leaving it on my skin for 1-2 minutes before rinsing it off. I do find it to be a smidge drying, but other than that it’s a fun and very unique take on a charcoal mask.
